While on our trip to Peru in April we traveled to the beautiful town of Urubamba which is called ” The Sacred Valley of the Incas”. We visited the pottery/home of Pablo and Marilu. They use the red clay from the valley to make wonderful pottery and tiles. Local artists are hired to help make and paint these tiles. They use techniques and designs from ancient peruvian cultures and are encouraged to use their creativity in the painting of them. We loved the subdued natural pigments used on these tiles. They would make great accent pieces in your house or yard. We have 5 different sizes , the largest being 6″by6″.
